How You and Your Partner Can Grow Together in Life and in Business

The Couples in Business Network provides relationship and business skills, opportunities, and success tips for present and future business partners. Not only are you just partners in business but also partners in real life. You maybe married, or dating, or same sex couples that have a business together. This Network offers exciting trainings and methods in how to deal with your partner in business – growing, sustaining, and succeeding.

Our Mission: To strengthen the entrepreneurial couple (copreneur) relationship in life and business.

Our Vision: To provide a responsive, robust support network and services for a diverse group of entrepreneurial couples on national, regional, and local levels.

We welcome husband-and-wife teams, those who are dating, and same-sex couples.

Ideas for Couples in Business

Brett and I are passionate about the concept of having a network for couples in business. While there seem to be a lot of coaches, consultants, and journalists focused on the topic, the couples themselves seem reluctant to step forward.

We wonder why that is. There are a lot of resources available from professionals and other couples that could provide their expertise. The family business associations definitely have some value. Yet copreneurs (couples in business) have different challenges from that crowd.

While we continue to research and find the best ways to serve this market, we will use this blog to post our personal ideas, advice, and questions about being a successful couple (in business and life). We welcome your comments and ideas also.

Lastly, we are interested in interviewing successful copreneurs who would like to share information on their journeys. We would post these interviews on our blog periodically.

Our goal is to become a one-stop-shop for couples in business. Have a great weekend!

Couples in Business Network Co-founder Releases a Book

Leila Johnson, co-owner of Data-Scribe® and co-founder of the Couples in Business Network, has written a book called Driving to Success: Let Your Spirit Take the Wheel. The e-book edition goes on sale today, May 20th. It will be released as a paperback in October 2010.

If you were ever curious about Leila’s philosophy on her business and life in general, it’s worth checking out. Driving to Success is a guidebook for entrepreneurs and professionals redefining the answer to “What do you want to be when you grow up?”. It uses a driving theme as a metaphor for how people can get in touch with what they really want to do in their professional lives. The book has 17 exercises, or Exits, that help the reader to work through any challenges they might have and help them connect with their authentic self.

What Copreneurs Want

We’re doing another relaunch of the National Copreneur Society and retitling it the Couples in Business Network. Here are some of the key changes:

  • Make it more interactive and social and less like a traditional association
  • Extend participation to couples, coaches, and consultants outside of the United States
  • Act as a “one-stop-shop” resource for all things related to being a copreneur
  • Provide regular events from experts on couples in business

Of course, we have our own ideas for developing the Network. But, we want to hear from you.

We would love your feedback on what you would like to see. What do copreneurs want out of a network? What resources have you not been able to find anywhere else?
